Public Proposal #9 Designed by Klauser Lienhard. Proposed for the product line of: Muuto, Denmark.

The proposal combines purity and precise lines with a handcrafted wooden structure. Functionality is exposed, with a hard mattress and a soft seating cushion on top. The overall impression aligns with the notion of Japanese simplicity and the piece’s undetermined use as a sofa or daybed. It is further exaggerated as a family of two pieces, with and without backrest, the former making double use of the wooden structure with pockets on the backside for magazines and brochures.

Story by Rainer Brenner The queer community in our town pretty much just consists of Nolan, Ruth and Lev (who had to rent a high-pressure cleaner for $90 last week because he ruined his mom’s favorite carpet with that spilled green curry).

Materials Natural oak wood, white pigmented lacquer finish. Wooden frame, cold foam filling and textile upholstery.
