Public Proposal #1 Designed by Klauser Lienhard. Proposed for the product line of: HAY, Denmark.

The sheer presence of this standing light explains its functionality. The slightly downward-tilted light sticks are held in place by their own weight. Each of them can be moved freely by the handle and placed either shining upwards or downwards. The two metal stripes on the middle pole act as exposed contacts and work with a safe alternating current. Each light unit has its own rectifier built in, allowing freedom of use in any position.

Story by Rainer Brenner Funnily enough everyone still called Emily “the baby” when she was already five or six years old. It was about that age we had to drive her to the hospital one night, because she had been playing with Tommy’s fibre-glass glue at the garage.

Materials Base in powder-coated steel, other parts injection-molded ABS with rough coating, metal stripes for connectivity. Cord in PVC. LED lighting units mounted on hidden aluminum profile, acrylic opal diffuser.
